Fleck and Ledo driving whips - for small pony up to four-in-hand horses
De Menner has a large driving whip selection. For every style of driving and for every budget there is a suitable driving whip. Nearly all driving whips come from the renowned German driving whip manufacturer Fleck or the renown whip maker in Hungary: Ledo.
What you have to keep in mind when buying a driving whip, first of all is the length, especially in dressage. From the carriageseat you should be able to reach the side of your horse or pony with the end of your whip without having to move your hands forward. De Menner sells driving whips from a stick length of 1.00 m for pony carriages up to a stick length of nearly 5m for four-in-hand horses.
Driving whips - balance and weight
A second important aspect is the weight of the whip and the balance of the whip. The more expensive a whip is, the better it normally lies balanced in your hand. Subsequently you can answer questions as to which driving whip you like.
And which driving whip belongs to your type of harness?
In dressage, for example, other driving whips (light-weight) are used than the whips in obstacle driving which have to be robust.
